Students have to complete 10+2 and have a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery along with Registration under Registered Nurses and Registered Midwives

Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing (PB-B.Sc.) is a two-year undergraduate programme designed to inculcate an in-depth understanding of advanced level nursing. Under this programme, aspirants brush up their learning to provide complete medical care to the patients. The students acquire both surgical and non-surgical nursing skills that prepare them for varied real-world clinical and hospital settings. Candidates throughout the course are provided with a holistic mixture of classroom lectures and hands-on training.

Students by the end of the course will be well equipped health care professionals who would be fit enough to work in hospitals or outpatient facilities to provide hands-on care to patients by monitoring their medical condition, administering medications, maintaining records and communicating with doctors.

Future Scope

Students who successfully complete the course can work as Nurse Manager, Critical Care Nurse, Rehabilitation Specialist, Paramedic Nurse, Community Health, Specialist, Staff Nurse in  in organizations such as MCD, DTC, ESIC staff nurse, RRB Railways, etc and other sectors such as NGO, State Nursing Council, Super Speciality Hospital, Government Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Indian Red Cross Society, etc.

Students who are interested can also pursue higher studies by joining for MSc Nursing, MSc Hospital Administration, MSc Nutrition & Dietetics, MBA Healthcare Administration, MBA Hospital Management, MBA Pharmaceutical Management in India or abroad.
