B.Sc. in Statistics
Duration
3-Year
Students need to pass XII with minimum 50% of marks with Maths as one of the main subjects from a recognized Board/University.
This 3-year degree course , primarily focuses on the field of Statistics which is a branch of Mathematics along with areas of Probability and Statistical Methods, Survey Sampling, Numerical Analysis etc which are important for Analysis of Statistics and solving problems in Statistics too. During the course students will be introduced to highly advanced concepts and theories, mathematical proofs, data analysis and modelling, regression, etc. Students will be very much aware about the concepts of Risk assessment and its management. There will be regular classroom lecture, training sessions, interactive conferences with experts, Simulation training, practical, projects and assignments along with periodic exams. The course gives utmost importance to exposing students to the usage of Statistical software, and programming languages that have been developed over the years for efficiently working on Statistical projects or tasks.
