This 3-year undergraduate course deals with advanced study of the heart’s physiology, pathology, and associated equipment used to support, or assume the function of the heart or lungs during medical procedures. The course that specializes in Perforation technology and in the field of science demands great amount of knowledge and skills in fundamental biology, human physiology, and heart and lung functioning. A Cardiac Perfusion graduate upon completion of course becomes becomes responsible for keeping records of the surgical team updated on the patient’s conditions, all constant surgery. They are working with the heart-lung machines that keep a patient alive during critical approaches such as open-heart surgery. Perfusionists are likewise core staff in placing and governing the patients on ventricular assistance, during heart, lung, and liver transplant.
