Students need to pass XII with minimum 50 % of marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology from a recognized Board/University.
The 3-year degree course gives you in-depth knowledge about Ecology and Plant Science. Students are getting introduced to the Study of Plant life, Flora, Fauna, different types of plant and animal species and Plant Anatomy as well. The course also includes Plant Physiology and Reproduction etc. Students who have studied Biology in 12th and are interested in Plant Research will be greatly benefited by the course. The course will also be covering Practical classes, Outdoor visits and sessions, Theory based tests etc provided they will be getting hands-on real life experience too. Since Botany has various specialized branches, there will be topics that may range from Agricultural Science and Agronomy to Dendrology, Horticulture and Mycology etc too.

Students after successful completion of B.Sc in Botany can work as Forester, Ecologist, Biological technician, Botanist, Horticulturist, Plant Pathologist, Ecologist, Nursery Manager, Plant Explorer, etc. Few national and private companies providing jobs to Botany Graduates are National Chemical Laboratory, Wildlife SOS, Indian Institute of Ecology, Wildlife Conservation Society Centre for Science and Environment, Environmental Education, Nature Conservation Foundation, Agricultural Research Services, Botanical Survey Centers, Eco-botany, Biotechnology Firms, Fermentation Industries, Environmental Management Units, Food Industry and Herbal Industry etc.
