Pass in XII with 50% marks in Science stream.
This is a three-year undergraduate programme that focuses mainly on research applications and experience that will help in crime detection. The course gives more importance to application of scientific knowledge for crime investigation. This program is more application-based and involves core practical experiments and studies. There will topics where students will get a deeper understanding of Human anatomy and Physiology. Students will also get familiar with skills related to Document Verification, Handwriting Analysis, Criminal Photography, etc which will come in handy in solving crimes. Apart from the few basic topics there are few other core topics that are very interesting too such as Forensic Pathology, Psychiatry, Psychology, Forensic Medicine, and Odontology (Dentistry). Students will get to develop a focused mind with keen observation and analytical skills. Towards the completion of the course students will be well equipped to start working as crime-laboratory based professionals.

Students can work as Forensic Medical Examiner, Forensic Scientist, Investigative officer, Forensic Accountant, Cyber Forensic Expert, Law Expert, Crime Laboratory Analyst Forensic Serologist, Forensic Toxicologist, Forensic Consultant in Government departments such as Central Bureau of Investigation, Government Forensic Laboratory, Income Tax Department Crime Branch, Intelligence Bureau etc. Students can also pursue higher studies in PG courses such as M.Sc. in Forensic Science, M.Sc.(Information Security and Cyber Forensics) PG Diploma in Forensic Science, PhD in Forensic Science or M.Phil. in Forensic Science.
