Eligibility
students should pass 10+2 with a minimum aggregate of 50% from the science stream with mandatory subjects like PCMB (Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Biology).
The undergraduate course deals mainly with the nature and changes of food during the time it is handled or processed. The program involves an advanced study of techniques and activities which are involved in Preserving, Processing, and Manufacturing of food. The topics covered under the course are Packaging Technology, Food Microbiology, Food Chemistry, Dairy Technology, etc. The flexible module allows the students to practice practical and theory both along with researching to gain better insights into the subject. Students can work in different competitive departments such as which essentially needs Food Science graduates, such as quality control, quality assurance, product development, research and development, food safety, food security. Food technology aspirants have a great scope working in the research field as well for new Product & Process Development.
