Students must have passed their 10+2 with science or its equivalent from a recognized Board.

Bachelor of Science in Food Processing and Quality Control is an Under-Graduate Food Technology course. It is the study of all the technical aspects of food. Food processing combines principles from disciplines like microbiology, biochemistry, and chemical engineering. During the course students will also be coming across the topics such as Preserving, Processing, and Manufacturing of food. Students will be able to build a strong base in applying food processing knowledge to improve the taste, nutrition, and safety of value-added food products, to develop the skills to convert raw materials into safe, attractive food products and to manage the production of food products; and to use scientific knowledge to develop new products.

The various other topics covered by this course are usually are Nutrition and Food Commodities, Food Chemistry, Food Microbiology, Sanitation & Hygiene, Preparation & Packaging Materials, Food Analysis Adulteration & Testing, Food Toxicology, etc.
