B.Sc in Computer Science, Mathematics and Statistics
Duration
3-Year
Students need to pass XII with minimum 50 % of marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Computer Science from a recognized Board/University.
Computer Science: Computer Science as a course has broadened and has established it in the field of research and development. The course comprises of both theoretical component and practical component. This course makes sure that the students comes to the level of recent advances in the field and helps them to foresee the upcoming challenges in it.
Mathematics: Mathematics module is crafted to strengthen the concepts and improve knowledge. The mathematics module too has both theory and practical sessions. The course aims at easy explanation of mathematical concepts helping the students to enjoy Mathematics, and solve meaningful problems, use abstraction to perceive relationships and structure as well as understand the basic structure of the subject. The course enables the students to develop and appreciate various concepts in Mathematics like Analysis, Algebra, Differential Equations, Numerical methods. FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) tools like SCILAB and MAXIMA are used in the mathematical learning environment.
Statistics: A branch of Mathematics that is of utmost importance from research perspective. The course focuses on the explanation of data which is a key function in data analysis. It focuses on training students regarding various statistical concepts that are concerned with the collection, classification, tabulation, analysis, and interpretation of data. This course too has both theoretical and practical sessions.
